At this seminar, the speaker will provide an overview of core and new nursing e-resources available to School of Nursing. The strengths of how these e-resources can be used to facilitate teaching and research, as well as to improve learning outcomes will be discussed. Guidelines and information on copyright issues of using these e-resources in teaching and research will be provided to participants.

Ms Lucinda Wong

Ms Lucinda Wong is the Medical Librarian at the Yu Chun Keung Medical Library of the University of Hong Kong. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Sydney, a Graduate Diploma in Information Management – Librarianship from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Arts in Translation from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. After joining the University of Hong Kong Libraries in 1988, she has worked with several faculties and one academic department, including Education, Dentistry, Arts, Architecture, Music and Medicine, either as the Faculty Librarian or Branch Librarian. Therefore she is well versed in library services tailor-made to support the teaching, learning and research needs of the faculty/department she serves. She was President of the Hong Kong Library Association in 1999-2000 and Fellow of the Association since 2000. She also taught librarianship courses at HKU SPACE in 1993-2001.
