Background information:
The course "Ultrasound-Assisted Triage for Disasters (USATD)" is now open for application. This one-day course focuses on the application of Point-Of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) to facilitate triage in disaster settings. Teaching will be conducted with a combination of online study modules, didactic lectures, hands-on practice sessions and simulation training.

The course is hosted and organised by HKU Emergency Medicine Unit. The course is organised for Hong Kong Academy of Medicine and Hong Kong Jockey Club Disaster Preparedness and Response Institute, and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.

A “Certificate of Completion” from the Emergency Medicine Unit of The University of Hong Kong will be issued to participants upon satisfactory completion of the entire Course.

Please be informed that there will not be provision of free parking for the participants. Lunch will not be included. Participants may wish to have their lunch at the nearest Bay View Restaurant (LG/F, Pokfulam Amenities Center, 6 Sassoon Road) or in various restaurants inside Queen Mary Hospital.

Registration is open from 22/02/2017 14:00(HKT) to 22/03/2017 23:00(HKT) and the event organizer will select the successful registrants after the deadline.
