Event Details

A straight-A top student in Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination, unlike many of her peers who pursued to study laws or medicine, she decided to enroll in journalism. That's all because of the outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in 2003 in Hong Kong, which demonstrated how the power of journalism can change the society.


In 2016, Ms. Fion Li became the first native and the youngest Hong Kong bureau chief in Bloomberg, a global information and technology company. In this talk, Fion will share her experiences working for an international news organisation and how she became bureau chief. Fion will also share her enthusiasm towards journalism and the media industry and how they have shaped her life and contributed to her fulfilment and accomplishments.
