Briefing seminar on Parenting Capacity Assessment Framework
The Social Welfare Department and the Department of Health have jointed developed a Parenting Capacity Assessment Framework to help social workers and counsellors with limited exposure to young parents taking care of new born babies to acquire the necessary sensitivity and skills to support such parents, who might come from disadvantaged family background or challenging personal circumstances. The Framework has been introduced to a few hundred SWD and NGO social workers and has been very well-received, because it is both a very pragmatic reminder of some neglected basics, and an excellent example of a productive cross-sectoral collaboration. I have finished their full training and find the program very interesting and useful too.
Registration is open from 05/05/2017 10:00(HKT) to 30/05/2017 11:00(HKT) on a first-come-first-served basis. The registration quota for this event is 100. Registrants will be placed on a waiting list if the registration quota is reached.
