Notes to Know: Musical Notations in the West and East

The Faculty of Arts and University Libraries cordially invite you to visit the exhibition, Notes to know: Musical Notations in the West and East.

The exhibition features diverse ways used to notate music in different periods and cultures. The images displayed are selected from the Collections of the Music Library and Main Library.

Date: 1 December 2015 – 29 February 2016
Venue: Ground Floor Gallery, Run Run Shaw Tower, Centennial Campus, HKU

Opened in 1982, the Music Library is one of the branch libraries of the University Libraries and the primary repository of music materials at the University of Hong Kong. Over the years, the growth of the collection in size and usage has been remarkable in order to meet the rapid expansion of the Department of Music and the HKU community. In August 2012, the Music Library moved to its new home on the top floor of the state-of-the-art Run Run Shaw Tower in the Centennial Campus.
